Course Description

IZIKAD (Izmir Business Women's Association) course was delivered  successfully with the cooperation of  EKOSEM and IZIKAD 2014, taught  by lecturers Sedef Uzgören, Berrin Yangınözüve and Taylan Demirkaya.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

COMMUNICATION IN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: ORAL OR WRITTEN EXPRESSION TECHNIQUES

The course aims at improving the practical   ability to use oral and written communication skills in business areas, using various techniques  (experimentation models: role-playing games, editing, screenplay, etc.), and as well as underlying theory, to participants of  different ages and professions. At the end of the course, it is expected that the participants will be able  to apply the basic principles of oral and written communications (correspondence language, expression and meaning, presentation and promotion, etc.) in their own fields..

BODY LANGUAGE, SPEAKING, AND DICTION

Course aims at providing an understanding  the skills of diction and body language such as language, discourse patterns, speech tempo, pronunciation, stress, intonation, gestures, facial expressions, attitude etc.  and providing  the relevant  speaking skills though various techniques  to participants of varied  ages and professions. At the end of the course, it is expected that the participants will be able to use appropriate  physical expressions and speech skills.

STRESS AND ANGER MANAGEMENT

Course aims at developing the ability to understand reasons for   change of mood, and apply  anger and stress management techniques, both in theoretical and practical terms.  Furthermore, it aims to enable the definition of  individual conflicts and crises, by providing well-established examples  to participants  of  different ages and professions. At the end of the course, it is expected that the participants will have a theoretical and practical understanding of the principles.

MARKETING AND BRAND MANAGEMENT

Marketing management consists of  a comprehensive series of actions including planning, application, control, with the aim of  helping organization reach  their objectives, based on  the evaluation of the competition  and consumer needs. Indeed, in today's increasingly competitive world,  companies can only be successful if they  create marketing strategies taking into account the needs of consumers, and changing market conditions. To achieve this success, "Developing a brand" is gaining importance. Managing this brand  requires the same level of knowledge and skills as creating a successful brand in the first place. Marketing and Brand Management course has been developed to  provide  an infrastructure for decision making and management processes, taking into account trends and needs in the global and local arenas. The course gives participants opportunities to analyse and apply conceptual dimensions and practical aspects of marketing and brand management.

This course aims at helping to expand   businesses, and provide positioning with appropriate  social media strategies  for both institutions and individuals. Especially in the last 10 years, organizations and individuals will not succeed if they  fall  behind  as a result of developments in  both trade and promotions in  digital media. This course, designed for women, is about how to use strategies that ensure  commercial success, and especially regarding  reputation management in the digital environment.
